New Restro-Lounge opens in Shockoe Bottom tonight

Come check us out tonight (Wed 2/22) and tomorrow night (Thurs 2/23) for our casual meet & greet soft openings (5pm-10pm). We’ll be offering free samples of our food, serving dinner until 10pm and, of course, provide you with a killer atmosphere to enjoy.

The new spot is promising a lot as evidenced by this statement on their website, “2113 will provide exquisite food, unparalleled service, and foster a shared experience that captures the eclectic energy of the classic club scene”. 2113 is located at 2113 E. Main St. and you can check out the menu here.

Fatal DUI crash this morning

From the RPD police report;

Richmond Police investigators have arrested and charged a man with driving under the influence in connection with a fatal crash this morning.

At approximately 12:37 a.m. today, an officer witnessed a crash at the intersection of 2nd and Canal streets. Based on the Department’s Crash Team investigation, they determined that Varinder Chahal, 23, of Springfield , was driving a 2004 Mazda 6 westbound on Canal Street when he ran a red light. Read more
