No action on Riverfront Plan until fall

Those of us hoping for a quick adoption and implementation of the much ballyhooed Riverfront Plan get to wait a little longer. Yesterday the Planning Commission decided to hold off approval until September 3rd. The two biggest sticking points were the Libby Hill viewshed and Mayo Bridge.

Man dies after bridge jump

The RTD is reporting a jumper off of the Mayo Bridge: A man in his late 60s died this afternoon after authorities said he apparently jumped from the 14th Street (Mayo) Bridge in downtown Richmond. Witnesses reported seeing the man leap from bridge near East Canal Street just after 2 p.m.
