Local businesses lose flood lawsuit against the city
From the RTD yesterday; A Richmond judge has killed a lawsuit seeking $31.65 million for 19 businesses in the Shockoe Bottom neighborhood that claimed flooding from the remnants of Tropical Storm Gaston was the fault of the city’s inept operation of its sewers and negligent maintenance over decades.

Streets to close for flood wall testing
Cary Street between South 20th and 22nd Streets will be closed Wednesday from 8AM-4PM, and the Brander Street entrance to Ancarrow’s boat ramp will be closed Monday from 9-11AM for flood wall testing.
