No action on Riverfront Plan until fall

Those of us hoping for a quick adoption and implementation of the much ballyhooed Riverfront Plan get to wait a little longer. Yesterday the Planning Commission decided to hold off approval until September 3rd. The two biggest sticking points were the Libby Hill viewshed and Mayo Bridge.

Bike and kayak rental coming to Brown’s Island

River City Outfitters will soon be making access to the river easier for those in the city. From RTD; That fruit will ripen on June 15 when Riverside Outfitters, which runs guided raft trips on the James River, opens an outpost on Brown’s Island that will rent bikes, sit-on-top kayaks and standup paddleboards.
