Happy Camper Fest on Saturday

Happy Camper Fest 2012 will take place at the Turning Basin in historic Shockoe Bottom on Saturday October 20 from 12-6.  Featuring phenomenal local musicians, awesome artists, creative crafters, food wizards, a Canal Walk & Run, and dog trick and costume contests, this amazing festival for all ages is free, though donations are happily accepted to benefit the Richmond SPCA and Communities in Schools of Richmond.  Not only does Happy Camper Fest benefit two great local charities, it also encourages healthy activities through the Canal Walk and Run and showcases many great local artisans, musicians, food vendors and other businesses growing and thriving in RVA .

Founded by an award-winning local educator, Kelly Elias, Happy Camper Productions serves to bring together people in the community looking to make a difference with the many charitable organizations needing assistance.  Because Happy Camper Productions does not just work with one charitable organization, there are opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and resources.  By hosting local fundraising events and spreading the word about current needs, Happy Camper Productions is an equal-opportunity do-good organization, spreading good vibes throughout RVA.
