The development firm Historic Housing Ltd. broke ground in September on a seven-level $22 million project at 1810 East Cary Street called the “River City Lofts” (Canal IV Lofts according to the City of Richmond’s parcel mapper). The project will convert an acre of the half city block at 18th and East Cary streets into luxury apartments intended to draw “wealthier and more permanent residents,” according to Louis Salomonsky of Historic Housing.
