Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our current problems we forget how far we’ve come.

Today’s feature story The Roving Eye in Style Weekly is on Harris H. Stilson. “He was a Richmond trolley car operator who took his camera with him to work from the 1910s to the early 1930s, photographing street scenes across the city and people along his route.” History books are filled with the famous but I’m always more fascinated by the average citizens and day to day events you see captured in the pictures in this article. Later this month over 125 photographs will be available in the book  “From a Richmond Streetcar” published by Dietz Press written by Kitty Snow.
