Martin Agency lays off 38
From the RTD we learn that the Slip is loosing some workers. Thirty-five folks are now ex-employees of the Martin Agency. Gotta love being a victim of “internal realignment”.
The Shockoe Slip ad firm said 38 people were let go “due to a combination of reasons including decreases in projected spending among some of our clients and an internal realignment of resources to more closely match our evolving client needs,” a company spokeswoman said in an email.
“In other words, we need more of some skill sets and unfortunately, less of others,” the spokeswoman said.
The company cut 35 positions from its Richmond headquarters and an additional three from its New York office. Layoffs came from across the company.
