Richmond.com goes to Tio Pablo’s
Full review from Richmond.com – Appetizer below. My quick comment – I had the gordita for lunch earlier this week and thought they knocked it out of the ball park.
With a nod to authenticity, Tio Pablo doesn’t shy away from spice—if you see peppers or chiles in a description, expect a good bit of heat. Both the fried peppers and potatoes and chiles gallos make a nice spicy complement.
Entrees borrow heavily from the various taco/tostada fillings with carne asada, carnitas, or a gordita filled with any choice of filling. The tender pork in the carnitas dish ($12) pulled apart easily, but didn’t offer the zesty flavors we liked in the tacos. It’s clear the stars here are the flavorful and authentic tacos.
