Man arrested for slashing tires in Shockoe Bottom

A 31-year-old man has been arrested, accused of slashing tires on a slew of vehicles in Shockoe Bottom over the weekend.
Andre L. Richardson, of the 2700 block of Hanes Avenue, has been charged with 18 misdemeanor counts of destruction of private property.
Police said Richardson is alleged to have slashed 25 tires on 18 vehicles in the Shockoe Bottom area early Sunday morning.
Officials said a witness saw him slash the tires on one vehicle and then flagged down an officer.
The officer was able to catch up with Richardson and arrest him.

What a piece of work. Nothing like spending your time doing something completely hateful that does you no good but costs strangers lots of money. I think letting each person whose tires were slashed get a couple slashes on him would be a suitable punishment. Then if there’s anything left, throw him in jail for a long while.
