I think that anyone that reads this site knows that tonight is RVA’s Grand Illumination. If you didn’t, well you do know. The light switch (I truly hope there is one giant switch somewhere) gets flipped at 6 p.m. RVANews has tons of little details here. I’m going to give you the street closings.
The Richmond Police will close the following streets for tonight’s festivities:
- No parking will be allowed on the south side of East Cary Street between Ninth and 12th streets.
- Tenth Street will be closed between East Cary and Canal streets.
- Expect traffic delays on East Cary Street from 9th to 12th streets from
- 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. as pedestrians and motorists view the light display at the James Center.
