From Rocketts Landing Marketing email;
The Riverbank Terraces
Riverbank Terraces, offered from $925,000 to $1.2 million, mark a level of luxury and location never before experienced in Richmond. Only nine of these majestic townhomes will be built. These one-of-a-kind homes are perched on the banks of the beautiful James River and offer their residents unsurpassed views of the river and Richmond skyline. Each townhome features a state-of-the-art 5-stop elevator which allows for private access to each of the home’s five levels, including the rooftop patio & kitchen.

Greed these Developers can’t see they are Overdeveloping an area because they have managed to bribe City hall into accepting every High priced Development they can dream up.These people see short term Dollar signs and ignore everything else. Many of these expensive boondogles are threating to turn parts of Shockoe Bottom into a Ghost City. People who can afford to move in won’t because of Shockoe Bottoms rep and those already struggling to stay in Shockoe Bottom won’t be able to afford to live there either because Rental properties will raise rents. Got to love Blind Progress in the name of almighty buck.
Wow…..Steve’s comments are grossly ignorant and shows a severe lack of knowledge about the area. Pure Progressive Pap. Shockoe a “ghost city”? Really? Has he even been down there? Rockett’s is the best thing to happen to the area in 150 years. 3 new restaurants have already opened with a floating restaurant coming soon. I suggest that SteveO is a little jealous that he can’t afford a riverfront condo. See what liberal class warfare gets ya?
Steve, might want to double check the facts before making yourself look foolish. This portion of Rockett’s Landing is located in HENRICO COUNTY. What were you saying about City Hall?
And how does a high-end riverfront home for purchase only in Rockett’s landing affect the rental prices in Shockoe Bottom? They are completely different markets.
Rocketts landing itself is tip of the Iceberg and it is helping encourage Echo Park development which is in Richmond. The same development that keeps getting rejected because the location they picked was zoned Industrial but several have been trying to change that. With every sucess there is there are 6 other developers trying to get in on the act. Echo park would be In Richmond. When each of these seperate markets begin to colide which is happening faster with each development it does effect prices. Christo your looking at the short picture. Rocketts landing is great for Henrico people around here always want to copy that sucess and cut plenty of corners to get there. Where will they build right next to it to pick up on the business they feel Rocketts won’t be able to handle.
Gdawg City hall has ignored their master plan have a Developer who is in charge of several of the projects in Shockoe Bottom on the councel. You don’t find it strange that every high end project has passed that were previously rejected?
I know plenty about my facts I am also aware that each market has effects on the other some beneficial others not so much. Funny when people see something wrong and try to warn people they get accused of being crackpots and Liberals but when it does come to pass they forget all that when they are complaining and can do little about it.
