La Grotta is honored by Wine Spectators 2010 Award of Excellence
by Leah Small
Antonio and Andrea Capece, owners of La Grotta, won the Wine Spectator 2010 Award for Excellence for their extensive wine list and pairings with La Grotta’s cuisine.
The award generally goes to establishments that feature at least 100 varietals that are clearly presented and appropriately paired. La Grotta has over 400 selections of red and white varietals, sparkling, reserve, large bottle reserve, after dinner and port.
La Grotta means “the cave” in Italian and the name is apropos to its quaint underground setting. Chef Antonio Capece prepares homemade Italian dishes with skills honed from family cooking traditions.
