VCU repaves over slave burial ground- the flip side
Following last week’s protests, Style Weekly presents an argument in favor of the repaving of the parking lots which lie over the negro burial ground. The reasoning? Repaving may help protect the artifacts that are buried beneath the asphalt.
The Shockoe Bottom parking lot may have caused a stir, but some people say the unintended consequence isn’t a bad one — that the history is locked in — even if it makes for ugly PR.

Even is the Style Weekly contention is true, it misses the point.
Any bad act, even murder, can be justified on some level but that does no absolve the perps of their guilt.

It does NOT say ” Style Weekly reports that officials make an argument in favor of the repaving”.
It was not intended to say that Style Weekly believes, agrees with that statement, or is pushing some kind of agenda for the repaving parking lots. Post will be amended to say “presents” argument as not to confuse anyone.
