Style Weekly has the news many music lovers have been waiting for; a new owner is moving into the former Toad’s Place.
The venue is tentatively scheduled to open the first week in September, with a restaurant operated by the owner of ChaChas, Verbena, and Lucky Buddha opening after that. The new owners also have a plan to stay competitive with the National:

I hope that the hat factory will be another great venue for the Richmond area Music scene. However i do not think anyone can be as sucessful as the team over at the National is currently they practically own the music scene in Richmond.
